Public and Contract Warehousing
RST's strategic
Greenville, North Carolina public and contract warehouse location has
allowed the company to position itself as a secondary location for storage
and warehousing of inventory moving throughout the Southeast and the East
Coast. Our location, convenient to Interstate 95, allows us to service both
the ports of North Carolina (Wilmington and Morehead City ports) and
Virginia (Hampton Roads and Norfolk ports). RST focuses on providing
customizable public and contract warehousing and third party logistics

Inbound goods:
RST is a USDA approved
warehouse and provides inspection and storage of inbound raw materials on
behalf of suppliers. Often the raw material may be received bulk-loaded in
import containers and RST will unload, palletize and verify the product. The
raw materials are then shipped daily (just-in-time shipping and just in time
inventory) by RST to the supplier's customer. This has worked particularly
well with suppliers who are required to frequently ship to their customers
in LTL quantities and with foreign suppliers who must ship in full
containers. In some cases RST works with manufacturers and their suppliers
to develop supply arrangements wherein the suppliers store the raw materials
at RST and RST ships the raw materials on a just-in-time basis to the
manufacturers. The manufacturers are not invoiced for raw material purchases
until they are shipped from RST. This reduces the manufacturer’s inventory
investment and the cost associated with that inventory
Outbound goods:
RST
offers primary storage of finished goods directly from the
manufacturer's production line. Services include inventory
management and control, order taking, bill of lading and
manifest documentation for shipments directly to the
manufacturer's customer. This strategy has worked
particularly well when the manufacturer cannot expand
facilities due to property limitations or is growing quickly
and does not have time to manage the distribution function.
RST offers manufacturers the ability to expand distribution
into RST's existing finished product warehouses, and to
allow RST to pick up the warehousing and transportation
functions for finished product inventory
Handling
finished product often leads to requests for arranging the
transportation of finished products to the owner's customer.
RST partners with motor freight carriers, CSX Railroad, UPS
and FedEx to offer our customers' efficient and cost
effective inbound and outbound transportation services.
RST's experienced staff can assist you in accomplishing all
of your warehousing and transportation goals through the use
of our customizable and value-added services.
